UN Women Jordan Country Office has developed its Strategic Note (2014-2017) with its Annual Work Plans. The Strategic Note was aligned with National priorities and UNDAF. The project was in line with UN Women mandate and priorities as indicated in the Strategic Note outcomes 1.1 "Women's rights and gender equality are reflected in the constitutional, legal and institutional reform, in line with in international human rights principles" and outcome 1.2 "Critical mass of women participated and influenced decision making, particularly at the local level according to thier own priorities and prespectives" and also with national priorities. Developing a new phase will correspond to the Strategic note outcomes, national priorities and to the recommendation of the evaluation.

: Approved
Recommendation: Key recommendation: A project extension is recommended. Future activities should focus primarily on consolidating capacity gains made to date with current stakeholders, in order to increase the chances of achieving lasting outcomes in the community and establishing sustainable structures to advocate for women?s rights. ZENID is a suitable partner to continue implementing the project. However, to maintain the current quality of the project, UN Women should only attempt to scale up if there is sufficient donor support to allow for greater and longer lasting capacity than this project. In the event that such donor support is secured, it is recommended that this successful project provides an excellent pilot to be replicated and expanded upon at both a national and a regional level.
Management Response: Management response: Fully agreed with this key recommendation. The project is still valid and respond to UN Women mandate regarding women's rights and also respond to national priority. A possibility of project new phase will be explored pending availability of fund. Programme team will develop a concept note for a new phase to be shared with donors for funding.
