UN Women China thanks to the recommendations made by the Women’s Access to Equal Employment and Leadership in China (WEL Project) evaluation report. Through the management response, the China Office will aim at addressing areas for improvement to seize the opportunities for a stronger and more strategic WEE Portfolio.

Recommendation: Identify programme priority areas and funding under the umbrella of the WEE Portfolio, based on stakeholder needs assessment.
Management Response: UN Women China accepts this recommendation. From the WEL Project evaluation, as well as lessons learned from other work relevant to WEE, the office hasrealized that separate smaller-scale projects with limited funding lack of impact.

Develop or localize tailored design training contents that can meet the requirements of certain target groups. Broaden and cover more vulnerable or marginalized female groups under current WEE projects.
