UN Women Mozambique wholeheartedly welcomes the evaluation findings and recommendations pertaining to the successful implementation of the 1st Phase of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Project, which provided crucial support for the implementation of Mozambique's first National Action Plan (NAP) 1325. The comprehensive evaluation has shed light on several essential aspects, particularly emphasizing the significance of UN Women's commitment to promoting women's participation and leadership within the project. The recommendations received from the evaluation reinforce the importance of empowering women in all levels of decision-making processes related to peace and security. The Evaluation also importantly noted the opportunities for expanding the reach of conflict resolution and leadership work within institutions and at the grassroot level and the need for UN Women to continue its technical and financial support for strengthening, coordination and implementation of the WPS commitments. As such, this Evaluation will directly feed into the second phase of Women, Peace and Security project implementation and will also inform the development of future project proposals
