Overall, UN Women Somalia Office acknowledges and welcomes the findings and recommendations. UN Women established its presence through Program Presence Office in 2016 and has initiated the LEAP/Humanitarian Program with government of Japan support in 2021. The office has limited staffing with no direct staffing presence in the field. However, through its Triple Mandate and as Co-Chair of UNCT Gender Theme Group, UNCF Results Group on Gender, Human Rights and Inclusion and as a Member of the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) will leverage and advocate for inclusion of gender in humanitarian interventions. While most of the recommendations are within the purview and possibilities for implementation in the above context, a few recommendations such as conditional cash transfer, mobile money systems require larger budgets and operations. The office will continue resource mobilization efforts to continue and upscale the programming on LEAP/Humanitarian Action as outlined in the management responses.
