The 5 recommendations made by the program evaluation are highly strategic and forward looking in ensuring quality programming, results. UN Women has integrated some of the recommendations into the LEAP 3 program and also prioritized on the national capacity development, monitoring and reporting. Efforts are ongoing in implementation of all the recommendations directly or through advocacy with the coordination platforms including the Gender Theme Group, Humanitarian Country Team and with the UN Sister Organizations.

Recommendation: Expanding Scope: To reach as many people as possible, it is important to engage universities to highlight harmful cultural habits through theatre/drama and plays that are broadcast on television.
Management Response: The recommendations is forward looking and strategic. UN Women office has taken note of the recommendation and will integrate the recommendation into the next phase of the program moving forward.

Recommendation: Life Skills: Health promotion strategies should be valued, and life skill education is a potential approach in this direction. As the pandemic has thrown life into disarray, being responsible, valuing money, and bonding with loved ones are a few important life skills you can help the community learn in these uncertain times.
Management Response: UN Women considers the recommendation strategic and forward looking. UN Women Somalia Office will leverage on its partnerships with the WHO and other entities in advocacy on integration of the above recommendation in future programming.

Recommendation: implementation phase of the programme was quite brief, and a continuance should be taken into account by enlisting more contributors or collaborating with other efforts with similar goals.
Management Response: Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the challenges with identification of partner organizations for implementation and outreach the project had a steady start. Efforts have been made to coordinate with WHO, UNICEF and other entities. The recommendation is well noted and will be factored in the future programming.

Recommendation: Improve the capacity of partners on results-based reporting during the inception phase of the project so that partners’ capacity on reporting is improved and skills and knowledge utilized throughout the project’s life span.
